Brawl Stars is an action online session game, developed by Supercell and released on mobile platforms in 2017. In the game, you control one of the characters with unique abilities and fight against other players in different game modes.
Supercell definitely knows how to entertain mobile gamers. Clash of Clans made a great success, and Brawl Stars are tapping another market for the company. The gameplay is no more about strategy and management, it is about shooting and rotating. You get to control one of more than 20 unique heroes, each of them having different abilities, and fight with other players in one of the 12 game modes available.
There are also in-game events and regular updates, refreshing the gameplay from time to time. You can either go matchmaking solo or join a party of friends to compete side by side against other players. The last option reveals the full potential of Brawl Stars, as cooperating and team working makes it even more interesting to play.
The progress system is a bit controversial, however. The game is aimed to addict you for first to hours, so it is generously rewarding you at the start. But the more you progress, the less are your rewards.
Graphics and Controls: Stylish and Convenient
The game’s style will definitely remind you of Clash of Clans. Though, this time you have a closer camera and more need for a detailed environment. The game corresponds to such requests and has beautiful and functional battlefields.
One of the game features is hiding in bushes: as you walk your character in, the enemies stop seeing you. The developers found an interesting solution of making the bushes half-transparent as you start hiding in them so that you can easily locate and control your hero.
The controls are very comfortable, as the game has only several playing buttons. However, this does not mean it is an easy game: competing with skilled players requires a lot of learning and mastering.
Supercell is a developer with a good reputation, and their game is free-to-play. This is enough to at least try the game on your own. It will not appeal to everyone, though it will most probably give you several hours of entertainment.
Pros : Many game modes with different aims;
Option to play together with friends;
Regular updates and events.
Cons : The progress system is getting less rewarding as you rank up;
Some players are discouraged by Brawl Pass.
